The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a battle for playoff position

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Cavaliers News, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 8 April 2007 at 8:25 pm

The Cavs lost today to the Pistons and fell to 46-32 on the season and they’ve fallen all the way to the #5 slot in the Eastern Conference. Still, the Cavs are only 1/2 a game behind the Chicago Bulls for the #2 slot in the playoffs but the Bulls hold the tiebreakers. The Cavs have 3 home games left out of their last 4 of the season and the Cavs are 27-11 on the season at home so they need to win all of those home games if they want to move to #2, which is very important. If the Cavs remain #5 they will play either the Miami Heat or the Toronto Raptors in the first round, but if they are #2 they will play either the Nets, Magic, Wizards or Pacers and that would be a much better matchup for the Cavs in the playoffs.
