LeBron-less Cavaliers thump the Kings 124-100 in Cleveland

LeBron James missed last night’s game with a back injury but the Cavs had some players really step up! The Cavs shot 54.1% from the floor and they outrebounded the Kings 51-33 and outscored them 73-49 in the second half! Sasha Pavlovic led the way for the Cavs with 25 points and 6 assists. Larry Hughes had a stat sheet stuffer with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. Zydrunas Ilgauskas was tough around the basket with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 blocked shots. Ira Newble started in place of LeBron and he scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 2 steals. He was also 3 for 3 from three point range.

The Cavs beat the Pacers 99-88 in Cleveland

The Cavs played a solid game against the undermanned Pacers last night. LeBron James led the way with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Larry Hughes had another good game at the point for the Cavs with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Drew Gooden had a solid game in the paint with 19 points and 8 rebounds.

The Cavs need Sasha Pavlovic to step up

The Cavs have moved Sasha Pavlovic into the starting lineup but he hasn’t taken advantage of his opportunity yet. He’s started 5 of the last 6 games for the Cavs and in those 6 games, Pavlovic in only averaging 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steal per game. He’s also shooting only 31% in those games! The Cavs need more from him or he’ll have to return to the bench.

LeBron James the King once again

For some reason ESPN and various media outlets started picking on LeBron and saying that he wasn’t clutch. Well James is letting his playing do the talking as he’s been the most explosive player in the league over his last 7 games. In those games, LeBron is averaging 34.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 block per game. He’s carrying the Cavaliers on his back as they are now closing in on the Pistons for the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers get a huge road win 94-92 over the Bucks in Milwaukee

The Cavs just wanted this game more than the Bucks did last night. The Cavs outscored the Bucks 32-21 in the 4th quarter to pull out a huge road win. LeBron James had a great game last night with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals. Donyell Marshall had a huge game off of the bench with 19 points as he hit 5 of 7 from three point range. Drew Gooden had a solid game with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Anderson Varejao had 6 points and 10 rebounds off of the bench and he hit the game-winning shot for the Cavs.
