The Cavs got outscored 52-37 in the second half and that did them in last night. LeBron James had a good all-around game with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Zydrunas Ilgauskas also had a great game with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Eric Snow needs to do more

Blogged under Need to step up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Monday 15 January 2007 at 8:32 pm

I’m getting a little disturbed watching Eric Snow pass up open jumpers because if the defense doesn’t have to worry about him it allows them to double someone else and it hurts the offense. Snow has played in 36 games this season and he’s averaged 27.4 minutes, 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He does need to shoot better as he’s only hitting 40.1% from the floor, but I think that would go up if he shot more often instead of being so timid on the court. Snow is shooting horrible from the free-throw line as he’s only hitting 50.8% from the charity stripe and that needs to improve, big-time! If the Cavs are scared to let Snow shoot the ball, then he shouldn’t be playing.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas also had a good game with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Eric Snow had his best game of the season as he scored 18 points.

The Cavs improved to 23-13 on the season with this win. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270113012

Cavs get embarrased last night 109-90 by the Suns in Phoenix

Blogged under Game recaps, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Friday 12 January 2007 at 5:46 pm

The Cavs played pathetic on offense as they only hit 37.9% of their shots from the floor and they got blasted in the first half 67-41 and that did them in. LeBron James was the only one that came to play last night for the Cavs as he wound up with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Drew Gooden was the only other Cav in double figures as he wound up with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

The Cavs fell to 22-13 on the season with this loss. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270111021

Remarkable 2nd half seals 108-98 victory over the Kings in Sacramento

Blogged under Game recaps, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 10 January 2007 at 11:45 am

The Cavs were absolutely awful in this first half of this game as they fell behind 53-38. Something must have been said in the locker room because the Cavs played their best half of basketball this whole season and outscored the Kings 70-45 in the second half to win this game. LeBron James was dominating last night as he wound up with 34 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Drew Gooden had a monster second half and he finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals. Zydrunas Ilgauskas was tough near the basket with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Damon Jones also helped in the comeback big-time with 14 points off the bench.

The Cavs improved to 22-12 on the season as this was a good start to their West Coast road trip. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270109023
